TabTimes, the First Tablet Magazine about Tablets, Launches Today as a Web App

TabTimes, a news magazine devoted to tablet uses for business, work and productivity, launches today as an HTML5 web app for tablets. It is available now, free, at t.TabTimes.com.

Produced by a team of seasoned and passionate journalists recruited for their experience at major tech publications, TabTimes reports on the tablet revolution in real-time with a mix of news, features, reviews, how-to stories and analyses.

“In addition to covering the tablet industry,” offers George Jones, Editor of TabTimes, "we will showcase the many ways tablets are changing how people communicate, work, shop, play, learn and organize their lives."

TabTimes’ mission is to show managers, professionals and business people how to unleash tablets to do more, work smarter, further their career and better their businesses.

A core component of TabTimes’ content consists of interviews with and stories about professionals who have already initiated tablet projects in their workplace. TabTimes also reviews devices, accessories, and apps in the productivity and business categories.

Written in plain English for a wide, global audience, TabTimes highlights the technological trends which will shape the tablet ecosystem. It is updated throughout the day, with a main feature story to be published every evening at 8 PM (Eastern Time).

"We optimize our content flow for a short end-of-day summary of news and trends for professionals and business people who are also tablet enthusiasts and evangelists," adds Patrick Pierra, Publisher of TabTimes.

The TabTimes web app for tablets is available through the browser on several tablet devices, and it is currently optimized for the iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Owners of other tablets can read the same content, in a blog format, on the TabTimes.com web site - which has a responsive design that allows for a comfortable read on most devices.

Alfresco, the leading open source enterprise content management system, is the launch sponsor of the TabTimes web app for tablets.

"The combination of our content focus, our target audience, and the explosive growth of tablets as a media platform should make TabTimes a prime advertising vehicle for all players in the tablet ecosystem and, generally, for many business and tech advertisers," says Rick Vandervoorn, Associate Publisher and Vice President, Sales of TabTimes.
